You already know we love food.  But we like lots of other things as well.  Below is a short list of things we like in Philadelphia.  These are people and places that provide care and inspiration for us and many other people and organizations in the area.  We hope you visit them and that you like them as much as we do.  Tell us what you like so we can discover new people and places in this great city of ours.

Wahner Chiropractic
Not really food related - though Dr Wahner is a bit of a foodie -  they provide invaluable feedback on our products.
Why We Like It: They keep us limber and welll adjusted both physically and mentally.  You can't get better care anywhere at any price and Dr Barry and his brother Paul are two of the nicest most hard working people you will ever meet.  Both kick up some dirt in Cyclocross.

Philadelphia Runner
Also not food related.
Why We Like It: This running store  is locally owned, staffed by knowledgeable runners who don't try to sell you stuff you don't need.  They are friendly, happy to answer even the dumbest of questions, they have an exceptional return/exchange policy, and as if all of that was not enough, they give back to the community by supporting Students Run Philly Style, another of our favorite things.

Pumpkin Market
This little market is located at 16th and South Street in downtown Philly.
Why We Like It: With two stores across from one another and a restaurant a few doors down, Hillary and Ian are committed to bringing good quality local food to the neighborhood at an affordable price.  Their presentation is great, they take less of a mark-up than many retailers because of their committment to local, and of course  we like them because they carry our products!

Independents Coffee Collaborative
A group of local coffee houses making Philly shine.
Why We Like It: They remind us that drinking coffee has political ramifications and they work to address them.  Serving fair trade coffee and teas, this group of coffee houses is independently owned and they sponsor a coffee cooperative in Peru.  They demonstrate daily that there is more than one bottom line in business.  And the coffee is great!  Joe Coffee Bar is a founding member of the co-op and is a great place to Eat SWEET!

Heiffer Project
Not just local, but definitely worth mentioning.
Why We Like It: Such an easy way to have a great impact on hunger.  Buy a family a goat or a cow and help address world hunger in a very direct way.  There is still time to donate.

The Wagner Free Institute
A museum within a museum.
Why We Like It: Tucked in North Philadelphia, the Wagner houses an amazing collection of animal specimens in a beautiful Victorian building.  They offer free programs to the commnity and have some great lectures by top people in their fields - all for a donation.  A real treasure.
